How to Make a Moving Box

If you move locally in San Jose, you can use a standard book box for wine bottles. In contrast, for cross-country moves, we recommend special boxes with Styrofoam inserts. These boxes protect bottles from temperature changes and prevent breakage.

Place crumpled paper at the bottom of the box.
Wrap each bottle in paper and lay it in the box to create padding.
Leave a few inches at the top for more paper and seal the box securely.
